Today in Ms. Potters small group, the children went weeding in the playground. The children had to be careful not to pick a flower instead of a weed because all plants are precious here at the CDLL.
"We are helping the flowers grow by weed picking!"- Brody
The children joined in conversation about weeding in their own gardens either at home or at a grandparents house.
"My grandma lets me pick sunflowers in her garden."- Katherine

"My garden grows lots of good food and I weed it to keep it healthy."- Logan
The children collected the weeds into wheel barrows and used large motor skills to place the weeds into the compost pile.
